About Us

Pinned SA was formed in 2013 and Launched early 2014. After almost 2 years of planning, research, shopping, networking and more research, the idea was planted, domain booked, logo designed, company registered and the wait was on.

We have certainly had our challenges, but then no new start-up is easy, otherwise everyone would be doing it. As Directors we are both active Mountain Bikers and have taken part in races all around the country as well as some Multi-stage events. Motorbiking, more specifically Adventure Riding/Touring is a huge passion and we have done some fantastic Adv rides throughout SA and neighbouring countries. Before that came 4-wheeled Racing. Both of us have competed in Tin-Top Racing and Club events with one of us going on to become a multiple club champion. We both have a passion for Speed, Adventure, Travel, the outdoors and more importantly customer service.

On the business side we have between us 35+ years’ experience in Import, Distribution and Retail, working in industries such as IT, Clothing, FMCG, and Motoring.

In the context of the above – “Pinned” means “flat out/at max speed”, that’s how we like to live life – in business and at play.

Our site (and logo) has a wheels theme, dedicated to Gravity (MTB), Adventure (Dual Sport Motorbikes) and Speed (Cars/Bikes).

Our aim is to support local Distributors/Importers & Manufacturers that are willing to support us. We are constantly on the lookout for unique items and brands seldom found in bricks and mortar stores. We may not be the cheapest but we will endeavour to find that special something you are looking for, or maybe as you search through our site you will find something you never knew existed!
